Papplewick Pumping Station houses two 140hp James Watt & Co beam engines built in 1884 and thought to be amongst the last built by the firm. The beam engines will be in steam on August 25th & 26th, 11am-5pm. Other engines will be in steam over the course of the two days including a Robey winding engine from Linby Colliery. There will also be guided tours of the Pumping Station’s brick vaulted underground reservoir and a craft fair.
Admission: £10 / £8.50 valid for 12 months. Under 16s go free.
