James Watt’s first commercial engine, also known as the parliament engine, was installed at Bloomfield Colliery in Tipton in 1776. Recent map research has pinpointed its exact location onto the site of the Angle Ring Company. Tipton Civic Society invites you for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
