Crofton Pumping Station in Wiltshire is celebrating James Watt over the late May bank holiday weekend (Sat 25th to Mon 27th) with a steam event and science fair, including talks about James Watt as well as hands on science activities. The original Boulton and Watt 1812 beam engine will be in action, still pumping water to supply the Kennet and Avon Canal over 200 years after it was installed.
